Horde Siege classes and squad guide

Last updated: · By Ash Vector Desk

Horde Siege is E-Day's co-op wave-survival mode: you pick one of four classes, Assault, Marksman, Medic or Breacher, and drop in as a 4-player squad. Multiple squads share objectives and fight world bosses on large city maps. Surviving earns rewards, customization and loadout upgrades for the next match.

The four classes

ClassSquad job (our reading of the role name)Pairs well with
AssaultFront-line damage, holds pushesMedic behind them
MarksmanLong-range picks on priority targets such as BoomersBreacher keeping enemies off them
MedicKeeps the squad standing and revivesEveryone; the safest first pick for new squads
BreacherClose-quarters entry and crowd pressureAssault for a two-person push

The Coalition has confirmed the class names and the 4-player squad. Exact class abilities and numbers are not published on an official page yet, so we describe roles, not stats. We will add ability tables once they are documented by an official source.

How is Horde Siege different from classic Horde?

Horde Siege (E-Day)
Map sizeLarger city maps
PlayersSeveral 4-player squads at once
GoalsShared objectives plus world bosses
ProgressRewards, customization and loadout improvements between matches
Online requirement on XboxGame Pass tier with online multiplayer

Five habits that win squads

  1. Cover first: the official guide warns that even a few Drones punish anyone in the open.
  2. Bring range for big enemies: the Longshot puts damage into tanky Boomers before they close in.
  3. Use caches to swap weapons when the wave type changes.
  4. Blind fire from cover while recovering health.
  5. Melee is a real weapon: practise backhands and Chainsaw Lancer finishes.

Is Versus different?

Versus is the 4v4 PvP side with all-new maps, refined fan-favorite modes, and Ranked or Social playlists. Movement now includes jump, vault and slide on top of cover.
